Files contain commission proceeding records with case evidence such as rate discrimination or poor service complaints; utility operation licenses or certificate applications; and property or rate revision authorization petitions. Case files include utility company petitions, applications or complaints; testimony transcripts with supportive exhibits (i.e., financial reports; blueprints; maps; photographs; public petitions; mortgage indentures; city ordinances); commission orders and correspondence between commission and utility companies or attorneys; dismissal motions; case preparation reports; hearing minutes including hearing date, location, docket number, witness testimony, and exhibit list; warehouse licenses; intervening petitions; dismissal motions; offer and motion to introduce evidence; Circuit or Supreme Court decision transcripts; briefs; statements of fact; writ of certiorari petitions; order appeal notices; hearing continuance and change of venue motions; briefs and applications filed jointly with commission and Interstate Commerce Commission; and Interstate Commerce Commission testimony transcripts. Cases (1894, 1907-1912) are filed in jackets listing petitioner and respondent name; record, file and box numbers; and petition filing, hearing and commission order issuance dates.
